The last painting for my calendar!
This wasn’t amazingly hard to do, but I did have some trouble when I was painting in the background trees. I kept trying to put too much detail into them, but it didn’t look right; I dulled them up on the advice of my mom.
This actual scene (sans dragon and glowing baubles) is from where I live; I sort of saw this while I was down near the forest, by the creek, where there are apple trees. The dragon, which I’d designed a while back, fit perfectly into the setting.
