2009 11x8.5 inches acrylic, ink, and colored pencil on illustration board
Just a quick painting of Nikazeme, which took me about two days (interrupted, of course). I used this picture as a challenge to myself to improve my drawing/painting skills, primarily regarding anatomy. Nika’s anatomy was largely based on equine, canine, and dinosaur studies, and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. ^^

The number of times I give up and the number of failures were the same. The data that can be derived from this unpleasant experience, proves that the number of times that I didn't give up and the number of times I succeed were the same.
What a cute looking fellow! Although I bet he wouldn't like to be called cute... I love that angry looking expression and little flame! Great perspective too. ^^
